JAMMU, Aug 7: With the aim to increase the green cover and beautify the campus, a plantation drive was today held at Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute (NZATI) Jammu. The plantation drive was organized by the Institute in collaboration with the Forest department, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Floriculture department and INTACH Jammu chapter. Diverse varieties of plants such as Bottle Brush, Thevetia, Lagerstroemia, Palm, Neem, Terminalia arjuna, Hibiscus, etc. along with Chinar Trees as Ceremonial saplings were planted in the Institute. K. Ramesh, Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu was the Chief Guest and Mahesh Dass Sharma, Director General, Accounts and Treasuries was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Samuel Changkija, Conservator of Forest East Circle, Jammu, Neeraj Gupta Bakshi, Director, Accounts and Treasuries Jammu, Sukhwant Kour, Director Funds Organisation Jammu, Raman Gupta, Director Finance (Budget), Rajneesh Gupta, Additional Secretary Finance Department, Abhijeet Joshi, Joint Director Soil and Water Conservation Jammu and S.M. Sahni, KAS (Retired) Convener INTACH Jammu Chapter, Arvind Kotwal, (Retired), Prof. Sudhir Singh, Joint Secretary BOSE along with other members of INTACH were also present. Bharti Sambyal, Director Finance/ Principal Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute appreciated the efforts of Forest Department, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Floriculture department and INTACH Jammu CHAPTER for extending their cooperation in the plantation drive. Officers of the Finance Department and staff of Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute participated in the plantation drive and planted saplings in the campus of the Institute. |
