JAMMU, Aug 26:The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah conducted a Plantation Drive at Kahpota Panchayat.
The whole plantation drive was done under the supervision of Dr Sunil Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah. The NSS volunteers planted saplings of different trees in areas under the jurisdiction of Kahpota Panchayat. During the event Dhruv Gupta, Tehsildar, Dansal was also presented to motivate and support NSS volunteers for plantation drive. Prof Rajshree Dhar, principal, GDC Jindrah applauded the efforts made by NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah. The whole event of plantation drive was compiled by Dr Seema. The other eminent personalities who were presented on the occasion to support plantation drive are Naib Tehsildar, Kasturi Lal; Social Activist, Maheshwar Singh; and teachers viz., Vishal Dev, Sunil Kumar, Subhash Singh and Shyamalan Singh. As many as five hundred saplings of different trees were planted with the efforts of everyone present on the occasion. The drive was very much appreciated by the locals and they also participated in the event.
