Reasi, Aug 26: Illegal mining has been going on unabated in tehsil Pouni of District Rajouri. This malpractice is running in Khund Khaniayari, Deoliyan Tawi. Administration has totally failed to check the practice.
Around ten tippers were seen going towards Pouni from Anji Nallah laden with concrete. Although the office of mining department is situated near Zero Morh but these tippers are never stopped. The department as well as concerned administration has turned blind eyes towards this malpractice.
District Mining Officer Reasi, when contacted, said that concerned SHO should be asked this question as it is the duty of police to take action against such vehicles. He further said that he has been running busy for some days. |
