Dogra Group of Colleges announces scholarship for COVID victims

Jammu, Aug 26: Dogra Group of colleges has announced scholarship for Covid victims/orphans for session 2021-22.
Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister while interacting with the print and electronic media personnel stated that Dogra Educational Trust has taken lead during these difficult times of COVID-19 Pandemic by collaborating with Dogra Sahayata Kendera and providing free transport to Covid Warriors, free ambulance service, distribution of Covid prevention kits and awareness propagation Furthering the cause the Trust which is running group of Educational Institutions viz Dogra Law College, Dogra College of Education and Dogra Degree College has now decided to support such children (COVID Orphans/Victims) in getting higher education by providing free-ship to them in all of the 3 Colleges run by the trust . Trust has decided to keep two seats each in BA LL.B 5 Year Course and LL.B 3 Year (Prof.) Course in Dogra Law College, Two seats in B.Ed. Course in Dogra College of Education and one seat each in BBA Course, B.Com. Course and B.A. Course in Dogra Degree College. Total 9 Seats across 6 courses has been allotted for free-ship.
Apart from the above mentioned concessions other facilities which will be provided to such students include study and reading material from the College free of cost viz book bank facility of college Libraries and a set of two uniforms (College). Free Hostel and Mess facility for out station students fulfilling the criterion of concessions
The procedure for admission will begin with the announcement of the above incentive through advertisement and social media and the seats will be filled up purely on merit basis. The eligible students shall have to register themselves for BA LLB 5 Year, LLB 3 Year (Professional) Course and B.Ed Course, students () will have to register their names in the college and then apply online as per the formal admission notification issued by University of Jammu and after final counselling conducted by the University if, the student is selected for Dogra Law College and Dogra College of Education their names will be recommended to the University of Jammu by the College authorities for admission.
