Early Times Report
NOWSHERA, Sept 3: Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma has said that tall claims of BJP leaders don't match ground realities and questioned where is Ram Rajya as people face great hardships due lack of basic facilities like drinking water, power, health and education facilities in the areas represented by them.
Responding to the charge of government apathy to the acute problem of the worst shortage of drinking water by the inhabitants of Lamberi area in Nowshera, due to the malfunctioning non functioning of the filtration plant, former MLC said that BJP leaders claim a Ram Rajya like situation in the country especially in J and K , but people are at the mercy of God
Sharma today interacted with the residents of Panchayat Lamberi and listened to their problems who complained about the acute shortage of drinking water in the area due to neglect by the administration. .
President Block Congress Committee Chander Bakshi besides Sarpanch Kishori Dutt Sudan, General Secretary DCC, Naib Sarpanch Suraj Parkash, Panch Jagan Nath, Capt Devinder Nath, Sub Naresh Kumar, Sub Manohar Lal, Dr Naresh Kumar, Dr Sain Dass, Mirza Zaman, Mohinder Pal, Gandharv Singh, Deepa Kumar, Chander Parkash and Ramji Dass and several others put forth the hardships faced by the people and the failure of the BJP on various fronts.
Former MLC regretted that the entire population is suffering due to lack of drink water and there is no body to address this urgent issue .The development works initiated by previous government including water supply schemes, health facilities have been neglected or pace of work is very slow but BJP leaders claim massive development and "Ram Rajya" in the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the two major hospitals in Sunderbani and Nowshera at the cost of over 18 crores each initiated during his tenure in previous goverment could not be completed in more than seven years, leaving people to suffer while 700 students suffer due to delay in the construction of building of GDC Sunderbani for more than 8 years.
The BJP leaders quote figures and claim development in air but the ground realities are quite different in the areas represented by them.
He referred to large scale unemployment and said BJP has betrayed the educated youth, the daily wagers, farmers and poor people.
Unprecedented price hike has broken the back bone of poor and common people. Several prominent people including Naib Sarpanch Suraj Parkash joined Congress on the occasion.
