| Spl Tribunal dismisses 2nd no confidence motion against President, VP MC Kathua | | |

JAMMU, Sept 3: Special Tribunal Jammu allowed the petition of President, Naresh Sharma and Vice President, Rekha Kumari of Kathua Municipal Corporation and dismissed the 2nd no confidence motion against them.
While allowing the revision of Naresh Sharma and Rekha Kumari, Member Executive Anuradha Rani after hearing Adv Rajesh Gupta for the petitioners observed that Section 25(4) of Municipal Act 2000 makes it abundantly clear that there is no provision to move 2nd no confidence motion within interval of one year of last no confidence motion. Court observed that private respondents had moved no confidence motion within a span of one month which is not maintainable. —JNF |
