| 2 excavators, 7 dumpers used for illegal mining seized | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 3: Acting tough against the illegal miners, Police seized 2 excavators and 7 dumpers being used for illegal mining.
According to sources, a team of Police Station (PS) Kathua under the supervision of SHO PS Kathua, Inspector Om Prakash Chib in its jurisdictional area near Ravi River found 2 excavating machines along with 4 dumpers indulged in illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material.
Meanwhile both the excavators along with all 4 dumpers were seized and were immediately handed over to the officials of the Mining Department, Kathua for further legal course of action.
While in another instance, a team of PS Rajbagh under the supervision of SHO PS Rajbagh, InspectorBopinder Singh seized 2 dumpers in connection with contravention of Registration Certificate (RC) and 1 dumper was challaned for overloading. |
