| Councillor starts deep drain work | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa started deep drain work with estimated cost of two lakh and sixty thousand at Sector A of Sainik Colony.
The deep drain has been in dilapidated condition for a long and the residents were facing a lot of problems due to its dilapidated condition during Monsoon season. Portion of the drain was washed away during Monsoon.
She urged residents to avoid throwing waste, garbage and debris in Nallah and drains. The residents should avoid using single use plastic which chokes the drains resulting in overflow of the same. She also called upon residents to follow the COVID guidelines issued by the Govt.
Sarain Singh, Daljeet Kour, Gogi Sudan, Mangat, Abishak, Inderjeet, Surinder Singh Latti and others were present on the occasion thanked the councillor for her proactive approach in handling problems of the Ward-69. |
