NSS unit of GGM Science College celebrates International Literacy Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 8: NSS unit of GGM Science college under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan celebrated International Literacy Day under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with the theme “Literacy for a human-centred recovery: Narrowing the digital divide”. NSS volunteers Muskan, Sartik, Sajal Aaghav, Sunandini, Shradha, Aman, Rupani made posters to create more awareness among the people regarding digital literacy. As the COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the learning of children, young people and adults, it has increased the divide of knowledge among the citizens. With online learning, students have the option to learn at their own pace. It has some disadvantages too. Online student feedback is limited. E-Learning has caused social Isolation and requires strong self-motivation and time management skills. Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world. NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan urged volunteers to reach the students who are facing difficulty in covid times. |
