CWA welcomes govt initiatives on rate fixation of ambulances | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 8: Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) Jammu welcomed the steps taken by the government/Administration regarding fixation of rates of medical care Ambulances, being charged from the patients/consumers. In a virtual meeting held here today, the members of CWA raised various issues with govt for safeguarding the interests of consumers under Consumer Protection Act. CWA had also suggested that the rates of essential commodities such as sweetmeats, fruits, vegetables also should be fixed by price fixation committee constituted by the Government well before commencing of festive seasons like Diwali etc. These points have been raised by members/consumers in the various forums during the virtual meetings. CWA also requested UT, J&K for formation of Consumer Protection Council, Forums with active participation of its members so that due care is given to the Consumers cause. The said Virtual meeting held under the chairmanship of President Chander Prakash Dharmat and guidance of patrons Prem Gupta, SK Gupta, DP Khajuria, and Sr. Vice President MS Jamwal, Vice President Kakar, Gen. Sec. JK Khajuria extended vote of thanks to the members for their valuable suggestions and active participation
