Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 26: A meeting of the prominent people of various villages of the Nud Block was held under the leadership of Mohinder Singh, Vice president, JK National Conference, Jammu Province in order to discuss the present political scenario. While speaking on the occasion Mohinder Singh stressed on the demand of restoration of the statehood of J&K, which is a genuine and deserved demand of the people of the state at large. He also demanded that election process should be initiated, so that the gap between the people and current administration can be bridged through political process. He also heard the problems of the people, which were related to erratic functioning of the key services like power, drinking water and poor road connectivity in the area and demanded quick resolution of the issues from the administration. Another issue raised by Singh was the lack of employment opportunities for the youth that has been plaguing the state lately, despite the constant promises made by the administration which have yielded no results so far. Prominent who spoke included Chain Singh, Yash Paul Sharma, Nek Ram Sharma, Raj Kumar Master, Haji Mohammad Farid, Mohammad Shafi, Balbir Singh (Joint Secretary), Ranjit Singh, Ravinder Singh Jasrotia, ex-Sarpanch Dhyan Singh and several others. |
