JAMMU, Sept 26: GDC Basohli organized an online 'Poster Making Competition' on the occasion of World Environmental Health Day under the aegis of "AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV" and the auspices of IQAC. The event was addressed by the worthy Principal, Dr Nidhi Kotwal. She deliberated on the Environmental health, and various means by which one can contribute towards making his/her home, surroundings, colony, city, and the nation clean and healthy.
She asked for small contributions from every individual so that our environment becomes healthy, as a healthy environment will lead to healthier communities with good immunity, helping the nation to fight against pandemics like COVID-19. Prof Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Convener of the event, also addressed the participants and requested them to shun the love for plastic products. Dr RK Manhas, Organizing Secretary of the Poster Making Competition briefed the students about the rules and regulations of the event.
A total of thirteen students participated in the event. The event was adjudicated by Prof Pawan Kumar, Dr Kehar Singh, and Prof Suresh Barwal. Muskan Modeel of BSc. Sem VI won the first position, Tannu Rani of BSc. Sem IV stood second, and Arun Verma of BSc. Sem II bagged third position. |
