Suri asks schools to go slow on physical classes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today urged the Government to ask all educational institutions especially schools to go slow on starting their classes physically as the threat of pandemic is still looming large on our heads. He also urged the school administration to stick to online classes till the entire student community is fully vaccinated and even that, after adhering to all COVID-19 related guidelines. Suri expressed concern over the 32 students of Keralite Public School, Thanamandi in Rajouri district testing positive for COVID-19 and said that students of Class 10th and 12th have been affected because of their physical classes, which is alarming. He urged the UT administration to keep a check on the schools and try avoiding physical classes till all are not vaccinated. He said that earlier also eight students of SVS College Sunderbani in the same district had tested positive for pathogen, which is again a serious situation. He said that we have come a long way in dealing with the pandemic and have been saving lives by adhering to government guidelines and staying off from works and schools, but now that everything has started opening up, we must be very careful with our behaviour and should not adopt any laxity. Wishing students of Thanamandi and Sunderbani speedy recovery, he hoped that these incidents will be an eye opener for all and advised management of schools to open up their institutions for physical classes accordingly. He urged local health officials to keep monitoring health conditions of students and render all possible help including medicines and kits, so that they can recover fast and get back to their normal lives. |
