Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 28: As most of the newspaper websites in Jammu and Kashmir didn’t carry the news about the employees of Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, Omar Abdullah took to twitter to tell the employees no one would stand by them. “I’ll stick my neck out & predict that unlike last time this time around none of the newspapers will find a common cause with these striking employees,” he tweeted. In another tweet he wrote: “On strik But forgets his regime was democratic and this time it’s Babu Raaj! again, last time Information employees had the Minister’s portfolio withdrawn.” A scribe wishing anonymity while reacting to Omar Abdullah’s tweet said, “Last time there was a democratic regime in place and the voice of employees was heard. This time we have an autocratic government and if any newspaper dares to stand by the employees, its advertisements will be stopped and the organization will be starved. Bureaucrats in J&K have turned monarchs and they can’t tolerate any voice, nor can they stand criticism.” |
