Jagti tenement committee demands establishment of three satellite townships in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 28: A protest was held by JTC/Soan Kashmir Front J&K at Jagti township under the leaderships of its President Shadi Lal Pandita. Addressing the protesters Pandita said that the government is giving very little monthly cash relief to the migrant relief holders on which the relief holders are not living. Pandita said that in this era of high prices, the food expenses of the relief holders, the cost of medicines and the cost of education of the children are not been meet. The demand of the relief holders is to increase the monthly cash relief from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 25,000 as relief holders are living a very difficult life in the exile. He said that long pending demands such as permanent resettlement, three satellite townships should be built in Kashmir valley near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag adding that 32 years property loss should be given to each landlord. Illegal occupation of land, property and religious places should be removed and also political and minority status should be given, he said. |
