| DC Kishtwar reviews progress of languishing projects | | Seeks judicious utilization of funds, close monitoring of works | |  Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Sept 28: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress on various works taken up under the languishing projects scheme.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; Executive Engineers besides concerned officers remained present in the meeting.
The District Dev Commissioner impressed upon the concerned officers to regularly review the progress of work and address the bottlenecks, if any, to ensure timely completion of these projects.
Taking project wise detailed review, he inquired about physical achievements, bottlenecks, issues being faced by the executing agencies etc.
It was informed in the meeting that out of 42 sanctioned projects, 38 were taken up and 13 have been completed and 04 have been recommended for de-sanctioning.
He stressed upon the concerned engineers and Officers to mobilize their men and machinery and expedite the pace of work and complete all the under construction projects within the stipulated time frame.
He also directed the concerned officers to furnish the list of non performing Contractors to this office for recommending their blacklisting.
He stressed to utilize all funds in the current financial year and make prompt financial & physical progress in all projects. |
