| BMS deputation meets Labour Commissioner J&K | | |

JAMMU, Sept 30: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) led by its senior leader Harbans Choudhary met with Labour Commissioner, who is also Director Employees State Insurance Society as well as JKEPFO. PF Commissioner Abdul Rasid War and other officials of PF were also present on the occasion. The deputation submitted a memorandum of demands.
In the meeting it was brought to the notice of the Commissioner JKEPFO that numbers of industrial units data has been transferred to central EPFO but the employers are intentionally not providing proper information to subscribers nor UAN numbers are being given and it is demanded that the list of units which has been updated so for may kindly be published in newspapers and employers be also directed to display the UAN numbers of their workers in their factory notice board so that workers may get proper information in this regard. The workers from Kathua also brought to the notice of Commissioner that in ESI Dispensary Kathua and also at other dispensaries officials are not transferred for the last 10-15 years, adding that they needed to be immediately transferred.
Labour Commissioner gave patient hearing and also issued instructions on the spot for redressal of workers' grievances. Ashfaq Ahmad Chohan, state president BMS Ashok Choudhary Organizing Secretary BMS, Sachin Bali and Sunil Kumar were also present in the meeting. |
