| GDC Ramgarh organizes patriotic song competition | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: In continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrated "Gandhi Jayanti" through online mode to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of the great patriot Mahatma Gandhi.
To celebrate the day, a patriotic song competition was organized by Prof Risha Kumari in which a large number of students participated from various institutions of the nation. The students sang beautiful melodious patriotic songs. The first position was clinched by Amanpreet Kour, B.A. Sem III, second position was secured by Avinash Kour, B.A. Sem-III, Govt Degree College Ramgarh and third position was bagged by Amrinder Singh, Air Force School Jammu.
Principal of the college, Dr Meeru Abrol expressed delight to see the volunteers participate whole-heartedly through online activities during the tough and extremely sensitive times. In her address she said," Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated like a festival, which honors our father of Nation".
She further emphasized music is the universal language of mankind and is required to stimulate the feel of patriotism among the students. E-certificates were distributed among the participants on the occasion. |
