| MC Rajouri sensitises street vendors about cleanliness | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Sept 30: Municipal Council Rajouri today held a convention to sensitize the street vendors about the importance of cleanliness.
The ULB members, under the chairmanship of the MC President, Mohammad Arif have started an awareness campaign for street vendors particularly during their working hours.
Councilors Iftikhar Dar, Pushvinder Gupta, Yogesh Sharma, Mushtaq Ahmed Manhas, Sameen Javed and Rabia Qureshi were also part of the campaign.
Talking to the media persons, the MC President said that the Municipal Body has started the awareness campaign to encourage the residents to keep the city clean. He advised the people not to liter garbage and other used items due to which the sanitation workers are facing problems in lifting the waste. The MC President appealed to the people to cooperate with the civic body and avoid littering in public places and outside their houses.
He added that MC has issued registration certificates to the street vendors as per street vendors act and now they are responsible for maintaining cleanliness,
