JAMMU, Sept 30: Rotary Club of Jammu Elite District 3070 organized a free diabetes detection camp here today at Labour Chowk, Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar. For that a special stall with 150 blood testing kits, technical staff and medical officer were made available from the early hours of the day. 100 tests of labourers and 50 tests of local passersby were conducted and to encourage the people two prominent citizens /runners of Jammu Manish Gupta and Veenu Gopal were present for the tests. Based on tests medical advice was rendered by General Physician, Dr Sangeeta Bhagat who is also a Rotarian. Surgical masks and refreshment were served to the beneficiaries, which was contributed by the members and advisor Brigadier Harcharan Singh of NCCHW Organization. One hundred testing kits were sponsored by Rotary India. Fifty testing kits, technical staff including Sukhdev, Ayub and Jagmohan were deputed by Thyrocare Diagnostic Laboratory, stall set up and food for the staff was contributed and supported by a prominent social activist and owner of Thyrocare Diagnostic Laboratory, Auqaf Market Gandhi Nagar. Rotary Elite President Pooja Malhotra coordinated and managed the event. Secretary Meena Jaggi, Treasurer Paramjeet Kaur, Senior Rotarian Gurvinder, Manisha Saroop, Nidhi, Jassi and Champa contributed and supported to make the pious mission a great success
