Increased prices of petrol, diesel becoming unbearable: VKS | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: Vishal Khatri Sabha (VKS) on Sunday appreciated various initiatives of Union Govt in J&K in a meeting with Sabha members, here today. Speaking on the occasion, Vishal Khatri Sabha J&KUT President Devender Seth said that world has witnessed and noted the historical decisions and steps taken by Modi Govt for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Seth however urged LG Administration to full-fill all genuine demands of the general public on priority. He said BJP government should take steps to control rising inflation along with the increasing prices of petrochemicals in the country. He said that inflation has broken the back of the common man of the country. Locking tongues to deal with the situation won't help. Govt must take steps to address demands of farming community and the youth. He said that retail inflation has reached the highest level in the country because of costlier food items along with petrol and diesel. Expensive petrol and diesel have spoiled the budget of the common man's plate. This is clear that the government can't afford to be silent on the ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel and the unbridled inflation. The government cannot present any argument in front of the public unless it controls inflation. Prominent among those present in the meeting include SC Rekhi, Hari Gandotra, TR Puri and CS Kohli. |
