Jammu, Oct 3: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took a commendable step on Sunday by reaching out to the protesting nursing staff and extending their contract by three more months. The Lieutenant Governor’s gesture became talk of the towns in Srinagar and Jammu and the news spread like a wildfire on social media. “People discussed the move and discussions went viral from mouth to mouth. He will have to hold more face to face interactions with the masses to get the exact feedback. Hoardings and advertisements are not that effective means to reach out to the people,” said an observer.
He said, “LG Sinha has been leading from the front but some bureaucrats around him keep on misleading him. Since the day he has taken over the reins of Jammu and Kashmir, he has taken bold decisions. He has worked relentlessly to ensure that the benefits of all the schemes trickle down to the deserving people.” The observer said, “A few bureaucrats around him seem to be hell bent upon ruining the good work done by the Lieutenant Governor. He (LG) needs to interact with people directly rather than depending on the feedback provided by the officials around him.” |
