Jammu, Oct 3: Opposition parties have praised the recent gestures of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to meet the protesting nursing staff in Jammu and Srinagar, and start “beat the retreat” ceremony at Suchetgrah border in Jammu. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “The good gestures are always welcome. When the government takes any people-friendly decision, even the opposition parties welcome it.”
He said, “It is unfortunate that the bureaucrats who have come on deputation to Jammu and Kashmir are suppressing the people party and opposition leaders for raising their voice.
This practice should be discouraged as oppression is no way out. The government has to win the hearts and minds of people.” |
