PYC resents re-employing retired engineers in RDD: Ajaz Choudhary | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) today opposed the Government move of re-employing retired engineers in Rural Development Department on contractual basis. Ajaz Ahmed Choudhury, Vice president of Congress Youth wing while talking to media persons in JKPCC headquarter said that there are more than 70000 educated unemployed engineers and earlier engaged skilled graduates who are working in the department on a paltry consolidated salary of Rs 11,000 per month in the UT who are in a state of distress with no employment or blur future. He said engagement of retired engineers on contractual basis by the bureaucrat driven JK Government will disproportionately affect the young employed as well as unemployed engineers, In such a condition, the Government move to recruit retired engineers to fill the shortage in Panchayat, Rural Development Department on contractual basis is gross injustice towards the unemployed engineers. PYC Leader Ajaz Choudhary stressed upon the incumbent government to shun the policy of reengaging retired govt employees He held that such short-sighted arrangement will only add to the mounting woes of our youth in Jammu & Kashmir J&K Youth Congress demanded revision in the Government decision in this regard besides creating employment avenues for educated unemployed engineers with immediate effect.
