Action plan for Swachhta activities under Clean India campaign discussed at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Oct 4: Action plan for Swachhta activities under Clean India campaign was today discussed here at a meeting of stakeholder departments chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishori Lal Sharma. The meeting took several decisions for effective implementation of the action plan for holding the cleanliness activities and discussed the modalities for conducting awareness under Swachhta Pakhwara.
The Swachhta Pakhwara activities are being conducted from October 1 to October 15 across the District. The meeting was attended by District Social Welfare Officer Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Chief Education Officer Rashpal Singh Chauhan; DYSSO Kharati Lal Sharma; Medical Superintendent District Hospital Dr. Parveaz Iqbal Wani besides representatives of other departments.
It was decided that all the district offices shall ensure the conduct of cleanliness and sanitation activities in and around their respective office premises to inculcate the habit of maintaining cleanliness among their staff.
The ADC informed the meeting that the best performing department and officers will be felicitated.
Highlighting the objectives of Swachhta Pakhwara being held under the aegis of Clean India Campaign, the ADC exhorted upon the district officers to observe Swachhata Shapath Day, Swachhata Awareness Day, conduct Community Outreach Green School Drive, Swachhata Participation Day, Hand Wash Day, Personal Hygiene Day, Swachhata School Exhibition Day, Swachhata Action Day and Prize Distribution Day. For holding awareness programmes, the ADC directed Chief Education Officer and District Youth Services and Sports Officer to work in and synergy to mobilize the school students, NSS volunteers, staff members, ASHAs, AWWs, PRIs, citizens for the IEC activities to be conducted across the district.
