| GDC RS Pura organizes cleanliness campaign | | |

JAMMU, Oct 4: NSS Unit of Govternment Degree College (GDC) RS Pura organized a cleanliness campaign under Clean India Programme ,an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to celebrate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in Gandhi Park R S Pura under the guidance of Principal, Prof Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer. About 20 students participated in the cleanup drive by picking plastic items like wrappers, plastic bottles thereby cleaning the whole park. Afterwards, the NSS Volunteers interacted with the common masses in the park and educated them about disadvantages of Single Use Plastics, segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes, use of green and blue bins etc. Principal of the college applauded the efforts of the NSS unit. |
