| GDC Billawar holds series of events under "Utsav Naye Bharat Ka" | | |  Early Times Report
BILLAWAR, Oct 4: Cultural Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar organized week long events under the "YUVAAH- Utsav Naye Bharat Ka" on the occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and 'Shikshit Bharat'.
The event held under the overall supervision of Prof Anita Jamwal, Principal GDC Billawar.
The events which were conducted during the programme included an essay writing competition wherein more than 15 students participated, poster making competition was held wherein 12 students participated, a cleanliness drive was conducted in collaboration with NSS and NCC volunteers, a quiz competition was organized wherein more than 20 students participated, a national level webinar on "Role and Impact of Gandhian Philosophy in Modern Era" was organized while a plantation drive was also conducted under the overall supervision of the Principal. With the request of Principal, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh who was on official tour at GDC Billawar planted one Neem Plant in the lawn of College.
The weeklong programme was ended with the vote of thanks presented by Prof Lekh Raj. |
