BGSBU organizes cleanliness drive at Peer Ki Gali | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Oct 4: Centre for Hospitality and Tourism , Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in collaboration with World Wildlife Fund-India organized a cleanliness drive at Peer Ki Gali. The event was organized as a part of wildlife week celebrations. Prof Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University applauded the efforts of the Centre for Hospitality and Tourism for organizing the drive. Prof Akbar said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to maintain the cleanliness and green areas in their homes and public spaces. Prof Akbar mentioned that Swachh Bharat Ahhiyan is India's largest cleanliness drive which aims to make India more sustainable and eco-friendly for living. Prof. Akbar said that conserving our natural resources, especially our wildlife is among the most significant challenges of our century and it is our collective responsibility to protect our flora and fauna for our future generations. Dr Parvez Abdulla Coordinator Swachh Bharat Abhiyan cell BGSBU and Dr Danish Iqbal Raina along with Rohit Rattan, Associate coordinator Western Himalayas Programme WWF led the team of Research scholars and volunteers during the day long cleanliness drive. The basic intent of the drive was to reach out to the general public and spreading the important message of wildlife conservation. |
