| Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu celebrates World Habitat Day | | |

JAMMU, Oct 4: The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu centre celebrated World Habitat Day at Channi Himmat here. A seminar on the theme “Accelerating Urban Action for a Carbon-Free World” was organized in which a large number of engineers, professionals and members of the civil society participated. On this occasion Engineer Vinod Malhotra, FIE; Former Development Commissioner, Town Planning Organization, Jammu, was the chief guest and Dr. Sanjay Khar, FIE; Chairman, IEI Jammu Centre presided our the function. The welcome address was presented by Dr. Sanjay Khar.
Nine numbers of the technical papers on the theme were presented by Engineer P. K Nanda, MIE; Engineer B. L. Rawal, MIE; Engineer Anil Verma, MIE; Engineer Sunil Seth, MIE; Engineer Sumil Goyal, MIE; Engineer Ranjeev Sawhney, MIE; Engineer Vijay Kumar Sharma, MIE; Engineer Tej Kumar Sharma, AMIE & Engineer Joy Ganjoo, Member Technologist.
The chief guest said that all the stakeholders must work together in a effective and mutually beneficially manner to implement measure for a Carbon Free Jammu & Kashmir. He further emphasized to create green zones within Jammu City during implementation of Smart City Mission in Jammu. Engineer C P Sharma, MIE, Honorary Secretary of the centre conducted the proceedings of the seminar and presented vote of thanks. |
