| JMC adopting casual approach towards suffering of general masses: Dr Rohit Gupta | | |

JAMMU, Oct 4: Apni Party Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta today criticized Jammu Municipal Corporation’s casual approach towards the suffering of the general masses at New Plot. In a meeting chaired by Dr Rohit at ward number 16 in New Plot, the Mohalla Welfare Committee and other prominent people of the area were also present.
The local residents alleged that JMC has not given heed to their concerns to the encroachment on a nallah by way of extending road construction on it.
“The construction was opposed by the locals, but JMC officials did not listen.
They spent lakhs of rupees on the nallah and the demand for construction of a park was ignored in an area near the State Motor Garages,” the locals informed.
They further alleged that JMC also dismantled bathrooms constructed for women which should be re-constructed as it has caused great inconvenience to the women coming to the crematorium needs. Dr Rohit assured support to the people and demanded that the JMC should have constructed a parking area for the locals. |
