| Shashi Sharma demands compensation for farmers | | |

JAMMU, Oct 24: Shashi Sharma, Secretary PCC J&K and Vice Chairman JKPCC Kissan cell along with members of Block Congress Committee visited various villages in Bishnah constituency to assess the damages caused by heavy rainfall and hail storm in Bishnah. He interacted with the farmers at villages Bhatyari, Kanhal, Bishnah, Lalyana, Kareyl, Pandori Adlehar and Arnia.
The farmers informed the Congress leader that they were already facing hardships due to Covid-19 and now climate change has ruined crops totally. Sharma said that due to heavy rains the losses are huge. He asked the administration to constitute teams in respective areas to make assessment of the losses suffered by famers and accordingly appropriate compensation should be given to the farmers. |
