Days of injustice with Jammu over
10/24/2021 11:42:49 PM

Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his speech in Jammu assured the people that days of discrimination with the Jammu region are over and people need not worry.
“I have come to assure you that the days of injustice with Jammu are over,” Shah said while addressing a rally at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu.
His J&K visit came at a time when the militants killed eleven civilians in the Valley and tried to create a fear psychosis.
Despite the situation being tense the Home Minister didn’t defer his visit. His arrival in J&K has boosted the morale of nationalist people and the security forces.
Amit Shah’s reassurance to the people of Jammu is a welcome gesture and is a message to all those people who have taken Jammu for granted.
The nationalist people of Jammu have always stood with the country and have endorsed each and every decision taken by the national leadership. When Article 370 was scrapped, entire Jammu had celebrated the move and endorsed it.
The Home Minister during his visit has made many things clear.
He has given the roadmap for J&K. Delimitation, elections and then statehood. Without naming any political party he stated that what these formations couldn’t do for seventy years, the Centre has done in two years.
People of Jammu have been waiting for a change for the past seven decades as they were ignored by the Kashmir centric regimes. But now they are hoping that things will change and they will be heard. Their issues will be addressed and they won’t be sidelined.
Despite the Centre putting in all possible efforts to ensure that people feel the change on the ground, a few elements within the administration seem least interested in taking people from Jammu on board.
The local BJP leaders have on many occasions expressed dismay over them not being heard and their concerns not being addressed.
The Home Minister needs to look into the genuine complaints of the Jammu people and address these.
The officials who are not paying attention towards the aspirations of Jammu people need to be shown the door.
People of Jammu are hoping that the Home Minister will take note of everything and address the concerns of Jammu people, who have been at the receiving end for the past 70-years.
