Sports events going on under the aegis of Samba Police | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 25: Samba Police started “Police Martyrs Memorial Volley Ball Tournament” at Government Higher Secondary School, Ramgarh. The tournament was inaugurated and thrown open jointly by Ashwani Thappa, Principal GHSS, Ramgarh and SHO PS Ramgarh Vijay Kotwal. The league matches will be played among the eight teams and the winning four teams shall compete for their semi-finals to take berth in the final. The matches are being held on a knock out basis under the supervision of trained umpires from the Youth Services and Sports Department Samba. Samba Police also concluded the finale of “Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament for Women (U-19)” in which final was played between the teams of Guidance & Counseling Cell for Youth Development Gurha Slathia and Guidance & Counseling Cell, Samba. Both the teams scored equal runs in the allotted overs and in the super over Guidance & Counseling Cell, Samba emerged as winner. In the Football tournament the final match was played between Samba JKMC and Vijaypur Club. Samba JKMC won the tournament defeating the Vijaypur Club by 2-0. |
