Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 6: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu has expressed satisfaction that leaders of various political parties of entire Chenab Valley, have acknowledged candidly and openly that during last 74 years all the political Parties who ruled J&K be it NC, Congress, PDP or BJP have failed to deliver justice to the people in eradicating corruption, nepotism, regionalism, communalism and acute discrimination in allocation of funds for developmental activities equitably to all areas of regions of the state, keeping in view their population, road connectivity, literacy and SC/ST/ & BPL population etc.
In a press release the AAP leaders said that as far as distribution of electricity is concerned, mighty river Chenab alone has the power potential of over 20,000 M Watts of electricity generation but sadly it is pointed out that around 2400 M Watts of power being generated from three mega Hydel projects, Salal, Baghliar & Dul-Husti and around Rs. 250 crores of revenue being harnessed on monthly basis & still unfortunately poor people are facing regular un-scheduled cuts forcing them to live a life of primitive man.
The leaders said that Delhi AAP government has not the capacity to generate a single unit but still then the Delhites are being supplied 200 units free of cost & 24x7 availability of power round the month without any cut. They said that green gold-the forests, world famous Sapphire mines & other minerals being extracted besides huge tourism potential & power potential can alone safely be counted equal to the UT budgetary coffers of J&K, if exploited to its entirety, the release maintained.
