Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 6: A budding female doctor from Jammu, who was recently threatened by terror groups and other anti-nationals for having condemned the pro-Pakistan celebrations at SK Institute of Medical Sciences has been unable to resume her classes at the SKIMS Soura in Srinagar.
Sources said the doctor has been staying back at a “secured location lest there’s a threat to her life and till the situation improves.”
The sources said the doctor has been threatened on numerous fronts and that the authorities were also concerned about her security in the wake of recent spike in civilian killings in Kashmir.
Sources said both the doctor and her colleague from the City of Temples were trolled online and threatened by terror groups for having condemned the pro-Pakistan sloganeering and celebrations when the enemy country won the cricket match against India in Dubai.’
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have already registered two separate FIRs against students of two medical colleges in Srinagar for celebrating the win of Pakistan in the T-20 cricket match played in Dubai. The FIRs were lodged after news of the celebrations went viral on social media with many demanding that the students be sacked.
According to sources, the FIR related to the SKIMS incident states that during the "intervening night of 24 and 25 October 2021 after Pakistan's one-day cricket match victory, students pursuing MBBS and other degrees residing in the un-married hostel of SKIMS Soura raised slogans and burst firecrackers”. It says that in this connection, a case was registered under section 13 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 105A and 505 IPC.
A doctor duo from Jammu , including one who studies at the SKIMS Soura had raised objection to the pro-Pakistan celebrations on Indian soil.
The doctor, who has been unable to attend her classes, had publicly told that she was a proud nationalist and would never tolerate anti-national activities on the Indian soil. An internal inquiry report however has given a clean chit to the SKIMS students saying that none of them was involved in any anti national activity on the fateful night.
