| DF & SS protests against drawing of yellow lines by JMC | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: The workers of Dogra Front (DF) & Shiv Sena (SS) under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a massive protest rally along with various shopkeepers from the major bazaars of Jammu city against the drawing of yellow lines by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Ashok Gupta asked the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to clear the stand as this has not been passed by the House Committee of the JMC than how the drawing of the yellow lines was initiated and implemented by the employees of the municipality.
The party president stated that it is against the law and an FIR should be registered against employees who started this act of drawing lines and if true bill has not been passed by the House Committee a strict action should be taken against the people responsible.
It is the responsibility of the elected Councillors that if any municipality employee tries to take action without the consent of the House than these Councillors should take action against the employees as the Councillors are the real representatives of the people in the absence of an assembly.
The people present in the protest included Kewal, Sham, Vijay, Birbal, Bantu, Prem, Vikky, Sham, Kailasho and several others. |
