GDC Darhal organizes poetry recitation competition on “Quami Ekta”

RAJOURI, Nov 24: A poetry recitation competition on the theme Quami Ekta was organized by Govt Degree College (GDC) Darhal in which students of the college presented their patriotic and nationalistic thinking with full enthusiasm in the form of poems. Principal of the college Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the students of the college for their participation in the competition. He said that Quami Ekta is the hallmark of the growth and development of a country like India.
We all are united and we will remain united and different religions, languages and culture is actually the essence of this matchless unity and strength. He motivated the students to always work for the unity and integrity of the country which will be the richest tribute to all the freedom fighters of this motherland. Senior faculty member HOD Arabic, Dr Ahsan Ul Rehman Rizvi also spoke on this occasion. He said that the students of the college are participating in all the events organized by the college and this is resulting in better development of their personalities.
Dr Imtiaz Hussain Shah, HOD Urdu also quoted a few lines in honour of Quami Ekta. Dr. Ather Aziz Raina HOD Mathematics motivated the students to always take part in such programmes.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Riaz, HOD Persian. Shariq Ali, Mohd Arif and Hasim Ahmed were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Nazia Tabasum and Tabasum Naz got consolation prizes. Dr Asif, Mahwish, Dr Javed Ahmed Mir and Farzana were the jury members.
