Business School Bhaderwah campus welcomes fresh students

Bhaderwah, Dec13: The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu organized the induction function for the fresh batch of MBA students, session 2021-23.
Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, Head The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu welcomed all the distinguished guests, fellow faculty members and the students. The objective of this programme was to acclimatize the students to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution’s culture.
The programme commenced with a warm session by Ajay Kapoor, Director, Share Khan, Jammu Outlets. He emphasised that apart from the academic knowledge, smart work, creativity and out of box thinking shape the students into abler individuals strong enough to face the reality of the corporate world. He further stressed on the fact that networking, learning and 360-degree overview are of prime importance in corporate life. An influential speech was delivered by Ruchita Bakshi, HR, Head, Khandari Beverages Pvt. Ltd. She briefed the students about the relevance of practical knowledge and training programmes and discussed some vital points considered by her organisation, Coca Cola ltd while hiring employees for summer training and final placements. Followed by the corporate session, an ice-breaking was conducted for all the newly admitted MBA students and were given induction kits as a token of love and blessing by the invited guests. Further, Prof. Sameer Gupta, Director, The Business School, University of Jammu, in his enlightening speech motivated the students to leverage faculty expertise, creativity and enthusiasm to achieve their professional goals. He discussed the three-layered recruitment policy followed by the business houses and emphasised the need for live projects, online courses, reading and business communications to enrich their curriculum vitae to enhance their employability. Thereafter, Prof. Alka Sharma, Convener, University Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre, graced the dais and enriched the audience with her valuable academic and administrative experience. She encouraged the students to develop relevant corporate ready skills-sets to cope up with the complex and challenging working environment of business houses. Dr Surekha, a newly appointed faculty member in The Business School was formally welcomed in the department and was presented a welcome gift by Prof. Rahul Gupta, rector Bhaderwah Campus. Finally, Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus congratulated all the students for making the right choice to choose The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus as their career option where faculty is making its honest efforts to impart the best training to its budding managers. Further, he ensured The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus and particularly to the students for all the sort of academic and administrative help for the smooth conduct of the programme. As the main host of the programme, Prof. Rahul Gupta presented mementoes to all the invited guests to honour their gracious presence at the function.
All the faculty members including Dr Umesh Chaudhary, Mohammad Avais, Dr Atif Javed Qazi, Amit, Zaffar Hussain, Ms Sonia Sharma of The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu, were present on the occasion. The event was conducted by Dr Meenakshi Nargotra and Aishiya Gupta, both lecturers in The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu. In the end, Dr Rohit Bhagat, placement coordinator, Bhaderwah Campus, gave concluding remarks and presented a formal vote of thanks.
