| GDC R S Pura holds cleanliness drive | | Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav | |  Early Times Report
R S Pura, Dec 13: As a part of ongoing Clean India Program (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) the NSS unit of Govt. Degree College, R. S. Pura carried out cleanliness drive in Rakh Fatheypur Brahmana villages.
The drives were carried out under the patronship of college principal Prof. Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Program Officer. About 30 volunteers participated in the event.
During the cleanliness drive volunteers cleaned the premises of Anganwadi Centre and Shiva Temple by picking up the plastic items like wrappers, plastic bottles and polythenes and cutting bushes.
They also cleaned the water body (pond) situated near the temple of the village.
NSS volunteers also interacted with the general public and they also promised to maintain the sanctity of the natural water bodies. The work of NSS volunteers was appreciated by the Head of the Anganwadi centre. Principal of the college also appreciated the efforts of NSS unit and volunteers. |
