GDC Ramnagar conducts rejuvenation drive of water bodies
12/13/2021 11:16:29 PM
Ramnagar, Dec 13: In connection with activities conducted under Clean India Campaign, NSS unit GDC Ramnagar conducted 2-day cleanliness and rejuvenation drive of natural water bodies ‘bowli’ at different villages of Tehsil Ramnagar. Bowlis are used for drinking and domestic purposes but due to accumulation of water surrounding the bowlis, its usage has started to decline in recent years. To conserve the natural sources of water, NSS volunteers cleared the waste surrounding the stepwells so that its water can be properly utilized for future use. The entire activities were carried by following COVID 19 protocols. The waste material or garbage was thrown in dustbins and the area was washed with clean water. A chain of water bodies were cleaned in Ward number 10, village Thaplal, village Ghordi, village Jandrai etc. under the campaign. As the part of special winter camp started since 06/12/21, the cleanliness drive on 12/12/21 and 13/12/21 marked the closing ceremony under the patronship of Dr.Udhay Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and guidance of Prof. Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO of the college.
