UDHAMPUR, Dec 13: Up in the arms against MCU Under the leadership of former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, there was a strong demonstration against Udhampur municipality over the issue of dumping garbage waste in Sui village.
While addressing media persons, Former MLA Mankotia stated that In 2014, in Saddal village, whose houses and land were ruined due to land sliding, they were kept there for a short time but today 7 years have been completed but the government has not made permanent arrangements for their rehabilitation Till now, no arrangement could be made, their small children and a large number of people live here, he added
Mankotia said that the district officer at that time told that we want to install a kill waste management machine in this village, at that time the sarpanch and elderly women of the village took deputation to the district administration several times, but forced pressure was made on them from their side.
He said that such a big kill waste plant is being set up here, the village will progress, the people of the village were fooled, Mankotia told that this kill waste machine will be used for the whole waste.
Even one percent of the garbage can be decomposed with great difficulty, due to throwing garbage in this village, there is so much filth that flies, mosquitoes etc. in people's houses and due to this filth in almost every house, one or the other is getting sick every day.
Waste is thrown in this village is it the development of this village, Mankotia told that he had take up the matter with Lieutenant Governor also but nothing has been done yet.
Mankotia told that the government is running a cleanliness campaign all over the country, but here the district administration is throwing garbage outside our houses, Mankotia said that we can never tolerate this, in this demonstration, the sarpanch of the panchayat, Bina Devi and the elderly women and children of the village etc were present in large numbers.
