| Panchayats empowered in J&K only after revocation of Article 370: All India Panchayat Parishad | | |  Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Dec 20: A one-day conference of All India Panchayat Parishad was held in Akhnoor today by Kuldeep Sharma former Sarpanch of Akhnoor Daskal and Acting President of All India Panchayat.
Addressing the meeting, Kuldeep told the visiting guests about the difficulties being faced by the representatives of the Panchayats of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that recently the e-tendering started in Panchayats for small scale works has become a problem for the selected representatives as the entire process is not completed in time and most of the money gets lapsed. Kuldeep Sharma said that due to All India Panchayat Parishad, the Panchayats of Jammu & Kashmir have been strengthened and they have been given proper rights. He said that the Parishad is working for all sections of the society and we stand with them for the development of the people of rural areas.
S S Vijay Mishra, the guest of honor, in his address, appreciated everyone for organizing the programme and made everyone believe that he is working day and night for the empowerment of Panchayats. He said that this organization does not belong to any particular party, anyone can join it and for the empowerment of Panchayats, we all should work above the particular party. He said that we need to know our rights and powers. |
