Power crisis force JU to postpone exams | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: Jammu University on Monday announced that all the online, offline exams scheduled for Tuesday (December 21) stand postponed due to the ongoing strike of the employees of Power Development Department. The Jammu University cited the ongoing power crisis in the region as a reason for postponing the exams. The exams that were scheduled for Monday were also postponed. It’s in place to mention here that many areas in Jammu region are reeling under darkness due to the PDD employees going on indefinite strike against the decision of the government to privatize the power sector. Students are finding it hard to prepare for the exams due to the ongoing electricity crisis. The Jammu administration has sought Army’s help to handle the grid stations but still many areas are without electricity. |
