| DF & SS takes out rally against power crisis | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 20: The workers of Dogra Front (DF) & Shiv Sena (SS) under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a rally in Jammu city demanding an amicable solution to the current ongoing power crisis which has left the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir reeling under bone chilling cold.
The Government of J&K, taking a sympathetic view of the issues raised, has engaged in several rounds of talks with Coordination Committee of the Power Employees. The government has already agreed on two of their major demands -putting on hold the proposal for formation of the joint venture and ensuring delay in salary is immediately resolved.
The people are without electricity since 9 am yesterday. They are shivering in cold. How are we going to lift the water to the storage tanks as there is no electricity.
The way situation has escalated in Jammu as Indian Army engineers had to be called to restore the electricity.
The party president has stated that the Electricity employees should resolve the matter so that the people should not face the brunt and the govt should also listen to the problems of the employees.
The party people who were present at the time of rally were Birbal, Lovely, Kalu, Prem, Naresh, Vikky, Bantu and several others. |
