SAMBA, Dec 20: Women Development Cell, GDC Ramgarh organized a seminar under the banner of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on the topic 'Stree Vimarsh'.
Prof. Seema Sharma, Department of Education, Welcomed the Chief Guest, faculty members as well as the students followed by inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal, GDC Ramgarh. Dr. Meeru Abrol threw light on the objectives of the Seminar. She further added that the actual women empowerment will come by making the women economically Independent.
Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Hindi, Govt. Degree College Bishnah was the Resource Person. He explained about the hindrances in the growth and advancement of women. Further he added that if we wish to see a nation that develops economically on the global front, then it is important to empower women. Quality Education is the key to Women's Empowerment.
Students of the College enthusiastically participated in the Interactive Session of the seminar.
Prof. Risha Kumari presented the vote of thanks. The technical aspects for the seminar were arranged by Dr. Sandeep Kumar. The other faculty members who attended the seminar were Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Narinder Singh, Dr. Pinky Rakwal, Sahil Bains and Bashir Ahmed.
The whole event was organized under the guidance of Prof (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal GDC Ramgarh.
