| GGZSM Degree College Reasi observes National Energy Conservation week | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Dec 20: Govt General Zorawar Singh Memorial (GGZSM) Degree College Reasi under the patronage of the Principal of the college, Dr. Chander Shekhar Gupta started a series of events to celebrate National Energy Conservation week under "Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" initiative.
A slogan writing competition on the theme "Conserve Energy and Save the future" was organized by Botany Dept. in collaboration with NCC and NSS unit of the college. A number of students participated in the event. Event was judged by Dr. Amit Bali, Head Dept. of Chemistry and Dr. Chaman Lal, Head, Dept. of Physics. First position was bagged by Priya Lakhnotra of B.Sc Sem IV, second by Sapna Bharadwaj and Yashika Abrol of B.A Sem-III, third by Vishal Chandan of Sem-V and Nidhi Singh Thakur of Sem-I. Prizes were given to all three winners.
The event was organized by Dr. Anu Sharma, Head Dept. of Botany, Prof. Bishan Dass, NSS Prog. Officer and Prof. Sunil Magotra, NCC ANO. Principal of the college stressed upon the need of conservation of energy sources. He encouraged the students to educate themselves as well as others in their vicinity to learn ways of conserving energy. He congratulated the winners of the event as well as the participants for their participation in the event with full zeal and enthusiasm.
