Demand putting of Delimitation Commission recommendations in public domain | Cong leaders express deep concern over acute power crises | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 20: Congress has expressed deep concern over the power crises in most parts of Jammu & Kashmir and blamed the UT administration and central government for the worst ever sufferings of the people due to black out. Addressing a joint press conference newly appointed working President of J&K PCC Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, General Secretaries Yogesh Sawhney and Manmohan Singh lashed out at the administration for total failure to deal with power and water crises in the entire UT. The Congress leaders termed it as worst ever crisis causing great hardships to all citizens especially aged and ailing people. Opposing privatization of power the Congress leaders termed it against the overall interests of poor consumers in the long run as the common people shall not be able to bear the power tariff. They justified the demands of the agitating employees of power department and extended full support to them while appealing them to take care of the sufferings of the common people due to black out. Referring to the delimitation issue the Congress leaders demanded that the draft proposals be put to public domain without any further delay and consider the objections of the people against the draft proposals. He said that BJP has committed to give seat share and reservation to different categories especially POJK refugees, Paharis, Kashmir migrants including STs and let it fulfill the promises to these people. |
