| Implement Minimum Wages Act in J&K: Tajinder | | |

JAMMU, Dec 24: Social and political activist Tajinder Singh appealed to Govt of India (GOI) for implementing of Minimum Wages Act in letter and spirit in Jammu and Kashmir UT and provide ex-gratia relief to the next of kin (NOK) of these daily wagers who lost their lives while on duty.
Tajinder also appealed to the government to resolve the issues of PDD, PHE employees once for all by ensuring one time settlement.
He said the issues of daily wagers , casual labourers lingering from long time in the erstwhile State, as these daily wagers have been appointed by the previous successive government but they fail to regularize them therefore Government of India should not delay the regularization as youth are suffering due to mistakes of previous governments. |
