BJP cautions high-command against governance deficit in J&K | ' Administration hijacked by a coterie of anti-Jammu arrogant babus' | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: Senior BJP leaders have once again cautioned the party high-command that the prevailing governance deficit in Jammu and Kashmir would be proved disastrous for the party in coming assembly elections. Leaders conveyed to the central leadership that the system of governance has been collapsed in J&K and the whole administration has been hijacked by a coterie of Babus which is treating people of Jammu as “second class citizens”. “Some BJP leaders- who have recently visited Delhi to brief the high command over the prevailing situation in J&K, are blunt in putting their viewpoint”, a source said and added that BJP leaders have made it clear that party was bearing the brunt of rampant corruption and nepotism in the system. Wishing anonymity, a senior leader of BJP told that instead of listening to the peoples’ representatives ‘Babus’ is trying to demonize party leaders including those who were elected by the people. The party high-command was also briefed about the recent strike by the power employees during which residents of Jammu province faced the worst situation. “It was informed the central leadership that administration of J&K is presenting the wrong picture to the central government on governance”, a source said. As reported earlier in September BJP leaders have earlier made it clear to the high command that the ongoing ‘Babu Raj’ in J&K is going to be proved disastrous for the party in the coming assembly elections. Wishing anonymity, the said leader revealed that many issues have been brought to the notice of the high command especially sidelining of the local politicians. |
