| GDC Ramgarh organizes awareness programme on ‘Web Safety’ | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Dec 24: To celebrate Cyber Jagurkta (awareness) among the students, Government Degree College (GDC), Ramgarh organized an awareness-cum-problem solving programmme on “Web Safety”.
The programme was held under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal, GDC, Ramgarh. Speaking on the event Prof. (Dr) Meeru Abrol stated that these kinds of activities promote awareness among youngsters as well as adults to navigate the internet more safely and securely. She said that protecting privacy starts with the world’s most advanced security. We should explore ways to keep safe online. The proper use of web is important to enjoy its benefits.
Students of semester III namely Riya Rani and Poonam Jamwal also participated in the session with full zest.
The session was conducted by Komal Salgotra, Department of Computer Application. She focused on how we are currently addressing internet safety and what issues have we faced with the internet, and with devices that have internet capability. The session also focused on the dos and don’ts while having online transactions.
The students of the college enthusiastically participated in the interactive session held in the programme. The teaching and non teaching staff also actively participated in the event. |
